REF:Deceased Truck Driver Found in Semi Truck

On June 11, 2002 at 2:45 PM the Elyria Police Department received a complaint of a 1998 Volvo Semi Truck parked at 1020 East Broad Street in Elyria with a suspicious odor.
Officers of the Elyria Police Department responded and located the truck with markings from Jimmy's Trucking in Cleveland OH. Officers checked the license plate of the truck and found it had been reported stolen through the Meridian Township Police Department in Michigan.
Officers forced entry into the truck cab and found the body of a deceased white male. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Dr. Matis, the Lorain County Coroner, took custody of the deceased and will determine the cause of death.
Initial investigation has revealed the driver had last known contact with anyone on May 31, 2002. It is believed that the truck was parked at the above address for several days. There were no obvious signs of foul play at this time.
