The Elyria Police Department established its Law Enforcement Explorer Post #330 in May of 1995.  The purpose of the Explorer Post is to provide exposure for high school aged youth to the profession of law enforcement as a possible career choice.  Hopefully, by seeing what law enforcement is all about first hand, and learning what attributes a young person must have to enjoy success in the law enforcement career, their experience in a Law Enforcement Explorer Post will provide them with some guidance and direction for future growth.  In addition, the Explorer Post is an ideal vehicle for officers on the department to interact on a positive manner with young people interested in their profession.

The Elyria Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer Post #330 is affiliated with the Explorer Division of the Heart of Ohio Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  Currently there our 10 explorers and 4 advisors in the program.  To learn more about the Elyria Police Explorers and to see what activities they do, click on the Explorer Patch below or if you would like to email them, just click on the email button below.
