REF: Abduction of Angela Chappel
On October 11, 2002 at 0751 hours,
Angela E. Chappel was dropped off at Marc's, located at 453 Midway Blvd.,
Elyria where she is employed. At that time she noticed her estranged husband, Michael
Chappel in the area. Our preliminary investigation reveals that Michael Chappel
forcibly abducted her.
They left the area in a 1996 white Chevy
minivan, Ohio temporary registration C009151. The subject that dropped Mrs.
Chappel off observed the white minivan heading northbound on SR 57, outside of
the City limits. At that time, Michael Chappel fired a weapon at the subject.
This incident is being investigated by the Lorain County Sheriff's Department.
